Description
Deep ruby red colour with violet hues. An intense and variegated nose, characterized by fruity and spicy notes, that ranges from blackcurrant jam to spirit cherries, from cloves and black pepper to chocolate. Full-bodied, intense, round and harmonious, characterized by sturdy tannins, it is velvety and sapid; the finish is persistent and closes with tones of fruit and spices.
Suitable with savoury first courses, such as mushroom or chicken liver risotto and meat ravioli. It goes nicely with boiled, grilled red meats and roasts. Its full flavour harmonizes perfectly with hard cheeses. Excellent with the herb rib steak.
